This list was compiled by Corinne Stridsberg. The list is subject to change and all details should be confirmed with the folks running the individual camps. I'm in the midst of updating this listing to reflect opportunities for 2009


Berlin Community Swim Lessons at First in Fitness –

Kid Watch will be offering summer programming at Berlin Elementary School

Paquet’s 5th Annual Northern Stars Basketball Camp – grades 3 -9 8am–3pm Position & Conditioning Camp.

Raider Girls' Basketball Camp at U-32 for students entering grades 4-7 July 20th-24th 10am-12noon, (gr 8-11 12:30-2:30) contact Mark Mooney, Camp Director 676 Upper Road, East Calais, VT 05650 $90 (family discount available) Free shoot time 15 minutes before and after each camp. Group and individual instruction – defense, offense, passing, shooting, rebounding and conditioning. Players will have games everyday. Cost $90, includes shirt. Family discount available. Raider Boys' & Girls' Soccer Camp students entering grades 5-7 June 29- July 2nd 9am - 12pm, (gr 8-10 July 27-30) contact Emmanuel Riby Williams 26 LaGue Lane, Barre, VT 05641 $85 (or $120 for family of two)

FOOTBALL PLAYERS:
VT All-Star Football Camps for players 5th - 12th grade July 27-31 South Burlington HS M-Th 5:30-8:45 and Friday 5:30-8pm. $$ This is a wonderful camp designed for the beginner to the advanced football player. There are opportunities at various locations, the closest one is at the South Burlington High School. These camps have been running for over 28 years now! The week long instructional camp takes place in the evening starting at 5:30pm. There have always been numerous kids from central Vermont attending this camp and carpooling. Capital Kids Day Camp at the Recreation Field by the Montpelier Pool. Monday – Friday 7:15 – 5pm http://www.myrecdept.com/vt/montpelier/default2.asp Students kindergarten through 12 years old. Field games, crafts, nature activities, swimming at the pool and more. Once a week special event. $$ per week full days; $$ half days (7:45-12:30 or 12–4:45). Discount for additional family members. Sessions start at the end of school through August (need date) .

Vermont Mountaineers Baseball Camps http://www.thevermontmountaineers.com/ Camps for ages 6-12 will run three different weeks in July 9am – noon at the Montpelier Recreation Field. These will be run by the Mountaineers' coaching staff and players. Campers receive 12 hours of general baseball instruction in all aspects of the game. Campers receive 2 VT Mountaineers game tickets and a t-shirt. $$ per week. There are also opportunities for teens ages 12-17.

Capital Soccer / Barre Soccer Camp (need date) at the Barre Town Rec. Herb Camp / Gardens for Learning – Food Works at Two Rivers Center http://www.tworiverscenter.org/ Herb Camp is for ages 7+ 9am – 2pm $140 with after care available. Ages 4-6 9am – 12pm. Participants keep herb journals; make herbal salves; balms & teas; and take home their own first aid kits. Other activities may include dream pillows; mandalas; herb ID walks; and more. Conservation Camps - the VT Fish & Wildlife Dept. operates two residential camps: Edward F. Kehoe Conservation Camp at Lake Bomoseen in Castleton & Buck Lake Conservation Camp which in Woodbury. For 12-14 year olds. (camper must be 12 before or during their week of camp). Advanced camps for 14-16 year olds. Separate weeks for girls & for boys. Champ Camp for Kids with Asthma at Coutts-Moriarty Camp on Lake Salem in Derby, VT
Kids ages 8-12 years old with moderate to severe asthma. If they are accepted to attend, there will be NO CHARGE. Champ campers are mainstreamed with Coutts-Moriarty campers and participate in recreational activities but have the support of a medical team. Champ campers also participate in daily one hour learning labs increasing their knowledge & building skills to manage their asthma. Jericho, VT Summer Day Camp 8:30-3:30 http://www.jerichovt.gov/ Director, Lynn Wagner students entering kindergarten – gr 4 go to Jericho Elem. School and students entering gr 5-8 attend at Browns River Middle School Cooking, photography, parachute games, floor hockey, science mania, basketball, music, card games, kickball, water fun and more. Each week there is a field trip. Applications first come, first serve basis according to space availability.
